Kisspeptin

Reproductive Hormone Regulator

Kisspeptin-10 is a reproductive signalling peptide that triggers the body's own testosterone and oestrogen production by activating the top of the hormonal cascade, preserving the natural feedback system rather than bypassing it. Backed by human clinical trials, it has also demonstrated measurable improvements in bonding, emotional processing, and prosocial behaviour.

Mechanism

How Kisspeptin Works

Kisspeptin-10 binds to the KISS1R (GPR54) receptor on GnRH-secreting neurons in the hypothalamic arcuate and anteroventral periventricular nuclei, stimulating robust, pulsatile GnRH release. This triggers LH and FSH secretion from the anterior pituitary, which in turn stimulates gonadal testosterone production in men and oestrogen/progesterone cycling in women. Kisspeptin-10 acts upstream of the HPG axis, providing a physiologically natural method of restoring hormonal signalling without directly suppressing endogenous production.
