Tesamorelin

GHRH Analogue (FDA-referenced)

Tesamorelin is a growth hormone releasing peptide that delivered 15 to 22% reductions in visceral abdominal fat in FDA-reviewed clinical trials, while simultaneously improving cholesterol profiles and preserving lean muscle. It is the most clinically validated peptide for targeting the dangerous metabolic fat that surrounds internal organs.

Mechanism

How Tesamorelin Works

Tesamorelin binds to GHRH receptors on pituitary somatotroph cells and stimulates endogenous GH secretion in a physiologically appropriate pulsatile pattern. The released GH drives hepatic IGF-1 production, which activates lipolysis specifically in visceral adipose tissue through hormone-sensitive lipase activation and adrenergic receptor sensitisation. This targeted reduction of VAT (the metabolically active fat surrounding internal organs) improves insulin sensitivity, reduces inflammatory cytokine output (TNF-alpha, IL-6), and improves triglyceride and HDL cholesterol profiles.
